We wanted to create a very modern afternoon bridal tea.  The first thing we did was toss out any thoughts of pastels and floral British tea sets.  They were quickly replaced with vibrant colors such as poppy red, black, white and a shot of tangerine here and there. 

For fun we chose a petite serving theme complete with mini vanilla bean cupcakes topped with a delicate handcrafted fondant poppies courtesy of bliss Bake shop.  Chilled petite mimosas were on the menu as well as tea sandwiches and individual single spoon servings of fresh fruit & pound cake. 

My favorite little details are the custom teabag tags, the teabag shaped favors and the handmade paper poppies - they make this tea party rock while still keeping a modern feminine touch.
